Shawn Amaro Has Earned His Wings

Cherub Improv has recently added Shawn Amaro to the family. I have been working with members and watching shows for months now. I looks like we will make a great match.

In 2002 i moved to New York as a way to help entertain people in need and do what I do best. Cherub Improv and I have similar goals. If you have never heard of this organization, here are some of the wonderful things they do. This is quoted from cherubimprov.com

“We are Cherub Improv - volunteer improv comedy. We partner with hospitals (including Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation and Mt. Sinai Children's Hospital), senior homes (including Kittay House of the Jewish Home and Hospital), veterans centers (including James J. Peters VA Medical Center), hospice (including Saint Rose's Home), senior centers (including Lenox Hill Neighborhood House), children's runaway and homeless shelters (including the Children's Village), homeless outreach programs (including Project ORE of the Educational Alliance), cancer support organizations (including Gilda's Club and Ronald McDonald House), and other organizations to perform and teach short-form improv and musical improv comedy. For FREE. Since Cherub Improv's debut performance in April 2007, over 80 volunteer performers have successfully completed over 300 improv comedy events and we have numerous upcoming events.”

In my time with Cherub I have worked with

Project ORE - Helping the Homeless

Chelton Loft - Help for those with Mental Illness

Gilda’s Club - Helping those living with cancer.
